Our Staff
Our caring and experienced team are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all children aged 2 to 4 years can learn, develop and flourish. We welcome children of all abilities and pride ourselves on our strong inclusive practice, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential. Through a nurturing and engaging approach, we encourage independence, develop key life skills, and support children in becoming confident, capable learners.
Gemma
Gemma is the Owner/Manager of Buttercup preschool Limited. She has worked as an Early Years Educator for 12 Years and recently took over ownership of Buttercup in 2024. Gemma is Level 3 Early Years Educator qualified and is currently studying Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner.
Gemma is also the Safeguarding Lead and the SENCo for the setting, having also completed Level 3 SENCo qualification.
Gemma is passionate about children feeling safe, valued and excited to learn. She particularly enjoys supporting children's language and communication through play. Gemma loves seeing children's confidence grow and takes pride in building strong relationships with both children and their families.
Lisa
Lisa is the setting's Deputy Manager and Deputy Safeguarding Lead. Lisa has worked in the childcare sector for around 22 years now and enjoys taking on new responsibilities in her leadership role. Lisa always has a passion to learn more ensuring the setting remains a safe space for the children.
Lisa particularly enjoys watching the children grow and gain confidence and independence. Lisa enjoys being part of the children's journey and sharing their achievements.
Casey
Casey has worked at Buttercup for 10 years. Casey holds a Level 2 qualification as an Early Years Educator. Casey enjoys working in the childcare sector and watching them as they learn and grow.
Casey enjoys singing with the children and especially enjoys role play activities with them and garden play where you will often find Casey riding around the track on the bikes and scooters!
Sue
Sue has been working in the childcare sector for over 40 years. She has seen so many changes since first qualifying in Level 3 Childcare. Sue believes that children learn through play and positive role models.
Sue enjoys arts and crafts and seeing the finished results of what a child has done through their own imagination.
Frankie
Frankie has been a part of the team for 4 years now and holds a Level 2 qualification as an Early Years Educator. She loves to bring lots of creativity and fun into each day. Frankie is usually the member of staff getting the children involved in messy play - especially tuff tray activities and the messier the better! She believes that hands on experiences are such an important part of learning and will help children to explore, create and build confidence.
Hannah
Hannah has worked in the childcare sector since 2009. She holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare & Education, as well as Level 3 SENCo qualification. Hannah is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. She especially enjoys reading stories, singing and engaging in creative play, helping children to express themselves and develop a love for learning.
Sema
Sema has been studying and is now almost finished completing her qualification of Level 3 Early Years Educator. Sema has been working in the childcare sector for two years now where she has developed a strong passion for supporting children's growth and development.
She particularly enjoys building meaningful individual relationships with children and takes great pride in helping them to thrive in a nurturing environment.
